I went up to Baltimore, MD to make a portrait of Millennial Media CEO Paul Palmieri for NYSE Magazine.
Sometimes you haul all your equipment up three flights of stairs to discover your setup already waiting for you. A white wall and white table and gargantuan window will get the job done 95% of the time. All the mobile devices are supposed to convey “cross-platform.” They’re all resting on binder clips (indispensable MacGyver item found in almost every office) and I think if I had to do it all over again, I’d back-light them. Too bad they don’t make binder clips with built-in LEDs.
The etched glass wall was the second setup and I was delighted to see it. I like to light glass. A lot.
